Narrow streets and the proximity of the Danube, with which Zemun has an « intimate relationship », give a specific charm to Gardos. Here, you can find plenty of good restaurants offering fine fish dishes. Its small streets rise above the Danube and offer beautiful view over the river, the confluence and Belgrade. The restaurant « Saran » (The Carp) is one of the best and most popular in Gardos! It’s especially well known for the best fish soup in Zemun, a recipe kept for more than a century!
