A Kings Cross’s institution, The World Bar offers a stage to up-and-coming indie bands and DJs, attracting a vibrant, young crowd. Open during the day, it really wakes up at night.

Set in a terrace house with a kitsch and wacky décor, it’s a fun place to have a drink, or watch a stand-up comedian, or take in new sounds.

Note that it gets really crowded and loud on Wednesday nights when they host the Wall, a major event in Sydney Club scene (dress code: cool but no thongs).
