The place of the famous Sachertorte, a rich chocolate tart. The recipe dates back from 1832 and is since then jealously kept secret. Some are crazy about it, some less (it’s my case). You can find a lot of imitations around town but if you want to taste the real thing, this is it. Located in the hotel Sacher, just behind the Opera. Enjoy the fin-de-siècle atmosphere.
