When art & design meet science and technology

4 Rue du Bouloi, 75001 - Metro Louvre-Rivoli or Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre - Le Laboratoire's website

Located near the Louvre and the Palais Royal, the Laboratoire is where contemporary art and design interacts with technology and science, a place where artists and designers experiment on the frontiers of science.

Established in 2007 by David Edwards, a Harvard professor in biological engineering, this is an incubator where artists, craftsmen and scientists can collaborate on projects in what was formerly a 19th century printing plant.

The same set-up exists in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) with exhibitions frequently organized between both.

Unfortunately, the Paris lab has been dormant in this year, perhaps they were concentrating their efforts in Cambridge.
