Caron de Beaumarchais

  • Paris Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais salon

A cosy 18th century style hotel in the Marais

Information

12 rue Vieille du Temple - 75004 - subway St Paul or Hôtel de Ville - Caron de Beaumarchais website

I frequently visited this hotel when I studied at the IFM (Institut Français de la Mode), drawn by its very “vieille France” vibe.

The décor takes you back in time to the 18th century era of Caron de Beaumarchais, a key figure of the Age of Enlightenment. The lovely staff of this cosy venue pays great attention to details. Breakfast is brilliant (but not included in the price of the room), served with fresh orange juice, crispy baguette, croissant, petits pains au chocolat and more.

The location is fantastic on the edge of the Marais line 1 Subway between Hôtel de Ville and St Paul.

The neighbourhood is vibrant, full of shops and eateries. Try « Les Philosophes », very close by (see our tip). And if you like stand-up comedy (in French of course), there’s the « Point Virgule »

Very affordable, super cosy, fantastic staff and perfectly located: what else do you need?
