The Royal Botanic Gardens

  • Botanic Gardens Sydney

Trees, flowers and great lunch spot

Dating back to 1816, those gardens are one of the most important botanic installations in the world and the oldest in Australia.

Kill two birds with one stone, and traipse through the Gardens on your way to a fabulous lunch (or Sunday brunch) at its central restaurant, Botanic Gardens. One of the best places in Sydney for a midday meal, conveniently located next to the Sydney Opera House.

What I love there: the peaceful atmosphere, the scents, the succulent garden (cacti), the wishing tree, the Botanic restaurant, the birds (loads of cockatoos and ibises),… It’s an exceptional place to walk (or jog) along the harbour with the promenade ending at the Opera House, where you can indulge in a glass of bubbly while enjoying the stunning view on harbour bridge. After all, you’re worth it!
