Sighnaghi

The City of Love (and art…)

Sighnaghi or Signagi is known as “City of Love” because (same as in Las Vegas) you can get married in a traditional Georgian way 24 hours 7 days a week.

It is a charming small town that was reconstructed as one of the tourist attractions in Georgia. Stunning views of the Valleys and Mountains, this is one of the wine regions of Georgia.

It’s also famous for its historical monuments, wine and crafts (carpets).

Tip: It is highly recommended to visit the Pirosmani exhibition. (one of Georgia’s greatest artists). There is also the Sighnaghi Museum, which is part of the Georgian National Museum (see tip).

I found this Youtube video, which will give you an overview (literally) of the city.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Sighnaghi, the Hotel Kabadoni seems to be the best (not tested though).
